London’s Square Mile

From here, stroll down towards the Thames, passing by the glittery Gherkin and the Lloyds of London buildings. While the City is home to some of London’s oldest attractions, such as the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral, these shimmering new architectural wonders are every bit as impressive.

Leadenhall Market

Continue on to beautiful Leadenhall Market. The stunning covered Victorian shopping area has cobbled walkways, a wrought iron structure and a glass roof.  Shops, in one form or another, have existed here since Roman times. However, if you’re a Harry Potter fan, the market may look familiar as it was used to represent Diagon Alley in the first film.

Sky Garden

Book in advance to get the best shots of London from the Sky Garden. Situated on the 35th floor of the Walkie Talkie building, this is London’s highest public garden. There are bars and restaurants, but it’s really the views that draw the crowds. Step out on to the terrace for dazzling views of the Shard or climb the stairs through the leafy plants to look out over St Paul’s or towards the Gherkin. Tickets are free and released up to 3 weeks in advance.
