Get an aerial view from London’s cable car

We love the views of London from the bridges that cross the Thames, but an aerial view is just as special. If you want a completely unique experience in London, hop into one of the IFS Cloud Cable Car cabs for a 10-minute flight that will provide dramatic 360 degree views of some of London’s most iconic sights.

The IFS Cloud Cable Car (previously the Emirates Air Line) crosses the River Thames between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks and you can take it in either direction. However, if you choose to end your journey in Greenwich, note that the Air Line station is a little way from Greenwich Town Centre. Buses run every few minutes to the town centre, where attractions include the Cutty Sark and National Maritime Museum. Alternatively enjoy river views towards the towers of Canary Wharf on a 30-minute walk along the Riverside Path. Read more about things to do in Greenwich here.

For a really special experience, why not wait till sunset and take an evening or night flight? Flights after 1900 hrs are a couple of minutes’ longer, giving you more time to sit back and enjoy the captivating spectacle of lit-up London until 2200 hrs on Friday and Saturday and 2100 hrs on other days.

Prices: from £5.00 per adult for a day or evening flight booked online.
