‘Remember remember the 5th of November’is all about fireworks. Bonfire Night is as English as can be – how many other countries celebrate an attempted treason plot with a fireworks party? – and there are some excellent organised fireworks displays across London.

Some of the biggest displays are at Battersea Park and at Southwark, both particularly spectacular thanks to their position overlooking the Thames. The event at Crystal Palace is one of the longest-standing displays in London and is very popular with families. The fireworks display at Alexandra Palace is another popular event, with the added attractions of a funfair and ice-skating.
